In Costa Rica, we have more than 500,000 people who have diabetes and another 270,000 people who have diabetes and still do not know it and as a country, we don't have a tool to teach and help people with this condition. We started to do the research about the problem, using service design, user experience process, design thinking, and a lot of interviews I designed the brand and the concept for the online community for people with diabetes. The conclusion of the research was that the main problem was a lack of access to information, products, and medical consultations about diabetes. We designed the community growth strategy as well as its content. First I did the Facebook page to know if the people were interested in learning about diabetes, I did all the visual content of the page, then I did the UX/UI and coding for our page www.diabettercomunidad.com and then I did the e-commerce page in which we sell products and services.

Leader of the community for people with diabetes in Costa Rica. Using human-centered design and UX design methodologies, I design and develop different types of products and services to improve the quality of life for people with this chronic disease. As a result of this effort, Diabetter won the prize of “best startup e-commerce award” In 2019
