The Company Directory is a core admin tool at Company X, used by thousands of Company Admins to manage users, companies, and permissions across large-scale projects. Despite being mission-critical, the tool was built over a decade ago with outdated technology and an inconsistent user experience. I led the complete UX redesign of the Company Directory—transforming it from a fragmented, legacy interface into a modern, scalable experience aligned with Company X’s Helix design system. Through research, user testing, and iterative design, I simplified navigation, introduced customizable data views, and created flexible workflows that adapt to each company’s needs. The new experience improves efficiency, reduces support issues, and lays the groundwork for future enhancements like granular permissions and workforce planning.

As the Senior UX Designer, I led the end-to-end user experience strategy and execution for this redesign. I collaborated closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and the Helix design system team to ensure the new Company Directory was not only user-friendly but also scalable and system-aligned. My responsibilities included: Conducting and synthesizing user research, analytics, and field audits Defining the information architecture through card sorting and user insights Creating wireframes, interaction flows, and high-fidelity designs in Figma Redesigning key experiences such as navigation, the Users Table, Add User flow, and the User Detail page Validating solutions through internal reviews, usage data, and design critiques Ensuring full alignment with the Helix design system for consistency and maintainability I acted as the UX owner for the project—balancing user needs, technical constraints, and product priorities to deliver a solution that’s both intuitive and future-ready.
